While monetary and material donations are important, this project relies entirely upon people willing to give their free time for the benefit of others.

The complexity of modern life puts severe limits on the amount of time an individual has to spare and that is why dedicated volunteers continue to be the most precious resource this organization requires.

The large scale at which production is carried out allows for us to offer our volunteers the opportunity to harvest for personal use. This provides a tangible incentive to encourage involvement, while simultaneously reducing waste. Additionally, volunteer harvesting is intended to foster a sense of ownership among those involved so they think and feel as if the garden is theirs, because it is.
